About the opportunity
The Clinic Receptionist is an integral role that supports our mission in improving the mental health of all Tasmanians through delivering best practice customer service to the clients of our Psychology Clinics. This role is responsible for supporting the operation of the University Psychology Clinic through providing professional reception services, including greeting clients, responding sensitively to queries from staff, clients, visitors and members of the public, and referring to other clinic staff as required.
What you’ll do:
Provide a professional and welcoming first point of contact for clients, students, staff, and visitors.
Manage appointment bookings and room allocations for client sessions.
Process client payments, and invoices, and maintain accurate financial records and reporting.
Maintain and organise client documentation, ensuring compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards and procedures.
Respond to clinic enquiries, liaise with internal stakeholders, and support clinic activities.
What we’re looking for:
Demonstrated reception/administration experience within a strong client-focused environment (preferably in healthcare).
Sound verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with clients, displaying care and discretion.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
High level of computer literacy, including competence in Office 365 applications, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other database operations.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive team culture.
Working with Vulnerable People Registration.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 4 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $91,488 pro rata comprising base salary within the range of $73,814 to $78,195 pro rata plus 17% superannuation.
