About the opportunity

The University of Tasmania is dedicated to expanding the number and diversity of domestic and international partnerships and learning abroad opportunities, developing mutually beneficial partnerships that support our teaching and research mission.

The International Partnerships Officer in the International Partnerships & Learning Abroad team identifies and coordinates partnerships that are strategically aligned with the university's profile. The role acts as a dedicated relationship manager for specific partnership areas, including articulation, pathway and transnational education partnerships.

The International Partnerships Officer works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support the partnership lifecycle including due diligence, contracting, program delivery, and governance. The role develops and maintains operational and administrative processes, administers cyclic reviews of partnerships, and supports the suite of partnerships tools, including our Stakeholder Management System.

What you’ll do:

  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders including international student recruitment, admissions, marketing, and academic units, acting as the main point of contact for information and guidance on partnership procedure, policies and regulations.
  • Support the lifecycle of partnerships including desktop due diligence, contracting, program delivery, cyclic reviews, and governance
  • Development and maintenance of operational and administrative processes and procedures for partnerships administration.
  • Contribute to ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and University policies

­What we’re looking for:

  •  A University degree, or a combination of pre-tertiary education and direct relevant work experience, with understanding of higher education standards and frameworks.
  • High level verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to develop, recommend, implement, and review policies and procedures.
  • Have attention to detail and a good work ethic with well-developed project management and planning skills
  • Ability to lead and manage projects from development to implementation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently and capacity to use sound judgement to adapt to changing priories to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, public relations, and presentations skills in a cross-cultural context

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 6 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $116,872 comprising base salary within the range of $92,120 to $99,891 plus 17% superannuation.
