The Senior Commercial Analyst will play a key role in supporting the University’s financial planning and longterm sustainability. Working within the Financial Services team, the position will collaborate closely with the Associate Director Treasury and Commercial Projects, the Chief Financial Officer, and colleagues across the University to strengthen the institutional funding framework and contribute to the delivery of the capital program.
A core focus is the student accommodation portfolio, managing the financial and reporting requirements of the purposebuilt student accommodation (PBSA) contract. This includes coordinating contractual reporting, audit and modelling to ensure compliance, and working with internal colleagues and external partners to drive continuous improvement and opportunities for future accommodation strategy and planning.
Beyond the student accommodation portfolio, this role offers the chance to working closely with colleagues across the University, developing sophisticated financial models, delivering compelling analysis and advice, contributing to projects that enhance the institution’s resilience and growth. A high-level of competence with computer applications, including computerised accounting systems and development and maintenance of complex financial models in a large organisation, with advanced spreadsheet and business intelligence skills.
Knowledge and understanding of the mission, goals, organization, and operational/ financial infrastructure of a public university will be an advantage.

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 9 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $160,612 comprising of a base salary within the range of 130,242 – 137,276 plus 17% superannuation.
