About the opportunity
The Intake Support Officer will provide key administrative and contact support to the Student Safety Wellbeing Team, particularly within the Clinical Intake Team who oversee all new referrals to the team. The role will provide guidance to staff and students, ensure compliance, and liaise with multiple stakeholders across the University to ensure our messaging of safety and wellbeing for all is disseminated clearly.
This role requires a confident and collaborative person who understands the importance of holistic care for those with mental health and complaint issues and will place individual and community safety and wellbeing at the forefront. They will have excellent administrative skills and be prepared to provide support to the whole Student Safety and Wellbeing Team, directed under the guidance of the Prevention Lead.
What you’ll do:
Provide initial support and well-informed advice to University community members on a range of matters, including safety, wellbeing, behaviour and conduct, or general concerns and complaints.
Guide and support staff on the University’s approach to responding to and resolving student safety and wellbeing matters.
Provide administrative support for training and awareness sessions, promotional and educational resources and forums.
Assist with the delivery of gender-based violence prevention activities in line with the Gender Based Violence Action Plan.
What we’re looking for:
Excellent communication skills used to build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
A people centred mindset and the capability to be empathetic and resilient in challenging situations.
Demonstrated experience in resolving disputes and conflicts and responding to complex matters.
Ability to perform effectively in a demanding, dynamic environment with sound judgement in prioritisation, escalation, and risk-based decision making.
A relevant Certificate IV qualification combined with extensive relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education.
Current Working with Vulnerable People registration.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $105,665 comprising base salary within the range of $80,869 to $90,312 plus 17% superannuation.
