About the Opportunity
Based on-site at our brand new, state-of-the-art Health Sciences building in Launceston, as a Lecturer in Exercise Science/Physiology, you will support a range of academic activities, including the development, design, and delivery of teaching activities. Your focus will be on clinical exercise physiology topics within the Exercise & Sport Science and Clinical Exercise Physiology courses.
You’ll work as part of a team, designing and delivering core components of our suite of allied health courses within the School of Health Sciences. Additionally, you will lead the development of new interprofessional experiences and discipline-specific content across our other allied health courses, supporting a thematic research agenda. In this role you’ll display a passion for student work-integrated learning and supporting high-impact professional placement experiences. Previous experience in the areas of neuro-motor control or biomechanics is highly desirable.

What’s Required
- Demonstrated experience working as an accredited exercise physiologist and/or working as part of a multidisciplinary allied health team and/or working in the high-performance sport industry.
- Experience in University level curriculum development and teaching with a demonstrated ability to develop and deliver dynamic and relevant learning experiences for students across all delivery modes using contemporary teaching practices.
- A record in team building and creating effective working relationships, along with a commitment to fostering educational excellence and ongoing career development.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating quality work-integrated learning (WIL) experience for students that has scaffolded, connected and supported pedagogical experience.
- Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills, with a record of contributing to building and maintaining effective and productive links locally and nationally with the discipline, profession, industry, and the wider community.
- Commitment to impactful research that makes a worthwhile contribution to the field of allied health, demonstrated by a record of quality publications and/or presentations at conferences, and demonstrated experience in translating evidence to practice and/or exercise and sports science curriculum.
Qualifications and Licences
- Completion of a Master or PhD degree in the field of Exercise and Sports Science.
- Current registration as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA)

Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B and will have a total remuneration package of up to $150,759 comprising base salary within the range of $110,992 to $128,854 plus 17% superannuation.
