About the opportunity
Join us as an Administration Officer and play a vital role in guiding students through their learning journey - from enrolment to certification. As part of the Seafaring & Maritime Operations (SMO) Administration Team, you’ll provide end-to-end support for both Higher Education and Vocational Education and Training (VET) students. Your work will ensure every step runs smoothly, delivering high-quality training outcomes and an exceptional student experience.
This role is diverse and dynamic, requiring attention to detail and a strong understanding of Higher Education and VET frameworks to maintain compliance with regulatory standards. What you’ll do:
Deliver professional, timely assistance to current and prospective students by providing accurate course information and guidance in line with compliance requirements.
Respond effectively to incoming enquiries regarding training courses, ensuring clarity and adherence to regulatory standards.
Manage end-to-end course administration, including processing enrolments, verifying student eligibility, creating and maintaining student files, and supporting compliance obligations.
Accurately record results, confirm completions, and coordinate the issuance of certificates in accordance with quality and regulatory frameworks.
Provide reception and front-line support as required, ensuring all interactions are professional, accurate, and compliant with institutional and regulatory requirements.
What we’re looking for:
Completion of Year 12 or an equivalent of relevant experience and/or education and training.
High level of proficiency in using a range of software packages and databases.
Experience and knowledge of Vocational Education and Training Student Management Systems
Understanding and knowledge of Higher Educational and Vocational Education and Training requirements or the ability to gain the knowledge.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to a large range of people and organisations at all levels.
Demonstrated administrative, organisational and problem-solving skills with a particular emphasis on attention to details.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 4 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $91,488 comprising base salary within the range of $73,814 to $78,195 plus 17% superannuation.
