Reporting directly to the Director, Marketing, the Digital Experience Manager is responsible for supporting the University’s digital experience strategy, with a focus on web, automation, and AI-enabled tools. This role ensures that the University’s most impactful communication channels deliver a seamless, personalised student journey.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional leadership and strong project management skills to guide a multidisciplinary team in delivering complex, future-focused initiatives. By overseeing the integration of web platforms, automation, and AI-driven tools, the Digital Experience Manager ensures that the entire student journey is supported through seamless, personalised, and impactful digital communications.
What you’ll do:
Lead efforts to identify and implement cutting-edge digital solutions, immersive content experiences, and personalised user journeys, to enhance the digital presence of the university.
Inspire and lead a high-performing digital experience team, including web developers and email automation specialists within the immediate team, across the wider department and across the university, to foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Successfully manage large-scale digital projects, including website redesigns, mobile app development, and data analytics initiatives, from conception to completion ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Ensure web, automation, and digital campaign strategies complement each other, supported by strong content governance and accessibility standards.
Successfully leverage data and analytics to make informed decisions, optimise user journeys, measure the effectiveness of digital initiatives, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Exhibit high-level negotiation and influencing skills to build agreement across business areas, establishing consistent digital processes, practices, and systems that underpin a cohesive and future-focused digital ecosystem.
What we’re looking for:
Strong leadership skills as evidenced through extensive experience in digital experience management, digital strategy, automation, or related roles within complex organisations.
Demonstrated ability to organise, plan, and deliver digital initiatives including web, automation, and AI-driven activities along with the capability to investigate challenges and develop innovative, student-focused solutions.
Demonstrated high level written communication skills, including the ability to produce and maintain a range of documentation including business process maps and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Deep understanding of web technologies, digital communication systems, content management systems, and digital analytics.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 8 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $152,033 comprising base salary within the range of $114,282 to $129,943 plus 17% superannuation.
