About the opportunity
The Administration Officer will be part of a shared professional support team across the Schools of Psychological Sciences, Pharmacy & Pharmacology, and Social Work, providing high‑quality, efficient, and responsive administrative support to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day operations of all academic units. The role operates in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment and focuses on delivering critical service support while building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders across a broad range of administrative responsibilities.
What you’ll do:
Undertake a broad range of teaching and learning operational activities which may include but not limited to timetabling and scheduling; orientation; student intake support; exams and results, and OSCES (Objective Structured Clinical Examinations).
Provide Clinic reception support during times of absence to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to Clinic clients and students.
Provide general support to the post graduate student placement team with setting up placement meetings and maintaining databases.
Support with timesheet approval and other human resources administration as required.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, and students to ensure that consistent and accurate learning and teaching operations are provided whilst working within agreed timeframes.
What we’re looking for:
Demonstrated administrative skills including experience with a range of software applications, including email, spreadsheet database, presentation software, and the internet as a resource.
Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and procedures.
Proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment and demonstrated capacity to act independently within established guidelines, exercising sound judgement and discretion whilst respecting confidentiality.
Effective interpersonal, resilience, communication and influencing skills with a positive attitude and a willingness to communicate effectively with a broad range of people.
Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to prioritise and complete tasks within defined deadlines.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 4 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $91,488 comprising base salary within the range of $73,814 to $78,195 plus 17% superannuation.
