About the opportunity
The University of Tasmania is looking for a proactive detail-oriented Administration Officer to join their Health Operations & Support team.
The Administration Officer will work within a regional, networked and customer focused team which predominately supports Academic Units within the Health portfolio including; the Tasmanian School of Medicine, School of Psychological Sciences, School of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, School of Health Sciences, School of Nursing, School of Paramedicine and Public Safety, Social Work, Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre, and the Menzies Institute for Medical Research.
As our new Administration Officer, you will provide high-quality administrative support with a strong focus on contributing efficient and responsive processes to support the day-to-day operations of the Academic Units.
You will work in a fast paced, high-volume environment delivering critical, day-to-day service-related administrative support and will be responsible for building effective relationships working with internal and external stakeholders to support the full range of administrative responsibilities.
What you’ll do:
Deliver a responsive and customer focused service to staff within Health. Complete a broad range of administrative duties to assist and support the service delivery needs of the Academic Units.
Actively contribute to a people centric service experience by developing and maintaining strong people focused relationships with stakeholders, knowledge of policies, processes, and systems relevant to Academic Units.
Support the service requirements of Health in a consistent manner by contributing to the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and effective use of university systems (e.g., Help Hub, Service Now).
Support continuous improvement initiatives and projects related to the team’s service delivery areas to improve service offering and customer experience and ensure compliance with relevant legislative requirements, internal policy, and procedures.
What we’re looking for:
Completion of a Certificate IV/Diploma level qualification, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Demonstrated administrative skills including experience with a range of software applications, including email, spreadsheet database, presentation software, and the internet as a resource.
Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and procedures.
Proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment and demonstrated capacity to act independently within established guidelines, exercising sound judgement and discretion whilst respecting confidentiality.
Effective interpersonal, resilience, communication and influencing skills with a positive attitude and a willingness to communicate effectively with a broad range of people.
Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to prioritise and complete tasks within defined deadlines.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 4 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $91,488 comprising base salary within the range of $73,814 to $78,195 (pro rata) plus 17% superannuation.
