We recognise their valuable contributions and deep connection to country and pay respect to Elders past and present.

  • Design, build and support secure, scalable enterprise integrations using Microsoft Azure Integration Services, driving seamless connectivity across the University’s digital ecosystem.
  • Provide technical leadership and influence, collaborating with architects, analysts, stakeholders and delivery teams to deliver high-quality integration solutions and best-practice approaches across multiple projects.
  • Full time, ongoing position located in Hobart

About the opportunity

The Senior Integration Analyst Developer plays a critical role in supporting a connected, data-informed University by designing, developing, testing and maintaining secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise integrations across the University of Tasmania’s digital ecosystem. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the role leverages deep expertise in modern integration technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure Integration Services, to deliver robust solutions that support key services for students, researchers, academics and professional staff. As a hands-on technical specialist, the position provides leadership through solution design, code quality, peer reviews and mentoring, while collaborating closely with architects, analysts, stakeholders, project teams and vendors to translate business requirements into effective integration solutions that advance the University’s strategic objectives.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead end-to-end system integration solutions across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements and design through to deployment and support.
  • Build integration solutions using modern integration patterns in a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Lead the delivery of integration solutions within a project providing technical integration leadership including work packages estimation, risk management and SDLC delivery.
  • As part of the wider integration team contribute to solution design, peer reviews, continuous improvement initiatives (including updating the University integration standard architecture, patterns and platform) and mentoring other integration developers.
  • Analyse, diagnose and resolve complex production integration issues across Software as a Service (SaaS) and on-premises systems, legacy platforms and cloud services – as part of third tier production support.

What we’re looking for:

  • Extensive experience delivering enterprise system integrations in complex environments, with expertise in Azure Integration Services and Azure Function Apps.
  • Significant experience working with cloud-based SaaS platforms and their integration challenges.
  • Strong capability in systems and data analysis, including business process analysis, information flows, data structures, data quality, and the assessment of upstream and downstream impacts of integration design decisions.
  • Extensive experience developing and supporting integration solutions using C# or .NET or Java, RESTful and SOAP services, JSON, XML/XPath, OAuth2 and SQL.
  • Sound understanding of privacy, security and governance considerations relating to enterprise integration and data solution design.
