About the Opportunity  

The University of Tasmania is seeking an experienced organisational development and learning professional to join our Organisational Development team as an Organisational Capability Partner. 

This role is for someone who can turn good thinking into high-quality development experiences. You will design and deliver leadership development programs, facilitate workshops and team sessions, and work with colleagues across the University to strengthen leadership, people management and organisational capability. 

You will bring together strong learning design, facilitation and program delivery skills. From shaping the overall participant experience and curating content, to coordinating contributors, managing logistics and using feedback to improve future programs, you will oversee development initiatives from concept through to delivery. 

You will work closely with leaders, subject matter experts, external providers and colleagues across People and Wellbeing to ensure development activity is practical, relevant and connected to the University’s broader priorities.  

What’s Required 

We’re looking for an experienced organisational development, learning and development, or leadership development professional who can design great learning experiences and confidently bring them to life. 

You'll bring: 

  • A genuine interest in helping people, teams and organisations grow and collaborate through thoughtful, well-designed development experiences. 
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering leadership, professional development or organisational capability programs. 
  • Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to engage different groups, build psychological safety, and manage group dynamics.  
  • Experience designing learning content, workshops and development resources that are practical, evidence-informed and suited to diverse audiences. 
  • Demonstrated cultural capability, including the ability to work effectively across cultures and support others to build culturally responsive practices. 
  • The ability to manage development programs from end to end, including planning, stakeholder coordination, participant experience, logistics and evaluation. 
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to work with leaders, subject matter experts and external providers. 
  • Experience using feedback, data and participant insight to improve programs and demonstrate impact. 

Salary details 

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 8 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $152,033 comprising base salary within the range of $114,282 to $129,943 plus 17% superannuation.
