State Coordinator Rural Primary Care Clinical Trials 

  • Part time 0.5 FTE Fixed term until December 2026
  • Based in Launceston
  • Work with the PARTNER network to improve the access to clinical trials for Australians living in rural and remote areas

The Opportunity

As the State Coordinator for PARTNER, you will work under the direction of the National Manager and the state-based Academic Lead. This is a leadership role coordinating the network within the state and work with the broader national team and will have opportunities for participation in research related medical education. The incumbent will  work as part of the Academic team to support the achievement of recruitment of up to 15 GP clinics to the network and work to build strong relationships with clinics and primary health care professionals to ensure we meet our contractual milestones and deliverables to the administering body, Queensland Health.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Make an effective and sustained contribution to the University in achieving its strategic objectives and fulfilling its operational responsibilities.
  • Participate in developing new research capability and ensure a positive experience for practices participating in PARTNER supported clinical trials.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of productive and effective links inside the University and locally and nationally with the discipline, relevant interdisciplinary domains, profession, industry and wider community to achieve exemplary and effective outcomes in recruiting general practices into PARTNER.
  • Use expert project management knowledge to develop new processes for work to improve efficacies across the PARTNER network.
  • Collaborate in developing and delivering education and training to practices that are part of the PARTNER network.­

Your Application

To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate:

  • Relevant degree in nursing, public health, medical science, health science, health management or related discipline with subsequent relevant experience.
  • Relevant professional experience and/or formal qualifications in project management such as PMP, PRINCE II, or Agile, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • A high-level of analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent engagement skills in a health or related setting.
  • A high level of computing skills including competency with word processing (Microsoft Suite), spreadsheets, data management systems (REDCap), internet and email.
  • A record of contributing to building and maintaining effective and productive links locally and nationally with the discipline, profession, industry (where relevant) and wider community.

Remuneration

Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B and will have a total remuneration package of up to $142,799 comprising base salary within the range of $105,131 to $122,050 pro rata plus 17% superannuation.
