 About the opportunity

Campus Services is responsible for a range of strategic and operational functions relating to the University's built environment, infrastructure, and campus and commercial services. The Capital Works unit is specifically responsible for delivering capital works projects.

Under the general direction of the Director Campus Services, the Project Support Officer will provide administrative and executive support to the Capital Works team, ensuring administrative, financial, compliance and reporting requirements related to project development and delivery are met.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the project management database for all capital projects, ensuring data relating to budget, program, risk, change, WHS, approvals and permits is accurately and regularly maintained.
  • Prepare accurate reports and project documentation in line with audit requirements, legislation, and the University’s Project Delivery Framework.
  • Coordinate project budgets, procurement processes, contract administration, statutory planning, and compliance tracking.
  • Establish good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and service providers.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives relating to capital project delivery.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong understanding of project management methodology relating to construction and capital works projects.
  • Excellent organisational skills, and the capacity to use initiative and discretion while managing competing work priorities.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Proficient in financial processing, record-keeping systems, and interpreting budgets and reports.
  • High computer literacy across Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, project and finance systems (e.g., Aconex).

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 6 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $116,872 comprising base salary within the range of $92,120 to $99,891 plus 17% superannuation.
