About the opportunity
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Health and Biomedical Sciences to the School of Health Sciences. The incumbent will be part of the Bioscience academic team within the School of Health Sciences, and undertake teaching, scholarship of learning & teaching, and service activities with a range of disciplines and units. The teaching will focus particularly on pathophysiology, anatomy, and physiology of the human body for Nursing, Paramedicine and Pharmacy students at the undergraduate level. There is also the potential to be involved in teaching other courses including exercise science and biomedicine.
What you’ll do:
Undertake scholarly coursework teaching of a high quality, including unit coordination of large units (600+ students), development of teaching materials, delivery of teaching and student assessment, including the utilisation of emerging technologies and simulation-based education.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of productive and effective links inside the University and locally and nationally with the discipline, relevant interdisciplinary domains, profession, industry and/or wider community.

What we’re looking for:
Experience and demonstrated achievement in University-level multidisciplinary learning and teaching, with demonstrated experience of flexible learning and familiarity with innovative blended learning & teaching andragogy and digital technologies.
Experience in University level curriculum development and teaching with a demonstrated ability to develop and deliver dynamic and relevant learning experiences for students across all delivery modes using contemporary teaching practices.
Evidence of leading, designing and implementing best practice assessment and student learning outcomes at unit or course level.
A demonstrated capacity to build and maintain effective and productive links locally and nationally with the discipline, interdisciplinary domain, profession, industry and/or wider community.
Demonstrated evidence of teaching Pathophysiology of any human body system into health professions is desirable.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B and will have a total remuneration package of up to $155,885 comprising base salary within the range of $114,766 to $133,235 plus 17% superannuation.
