About the opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual who will be responsible for leading and coordinating the successful delivery of the University's Staff Agreement enterprise bargaining negotiations.

This role will work closely with senior stakeholders, project team and negotiating team members, legal advisors, and union representatives to ensure the enterprise bargaining process is delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with the University’s strategy, legal obligations, and governance frameworks.

The successful candidate will be critical to ensuring the University takes a structured, strategic and well-governed approach to bargaining, with a focus on stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, productivity improvements, and compliance.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the end-to-end project management of the University’s enterprise bargaining program, from planning through to approval and implementation.
  • Drive and facilitate stakeholder engagement and consultation, specifically with internal stakeholders including senior leadership, employee representatives, and operational managers to ensure alignment and engagement.
  • Develop, implement and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, risk registers, budget tracking, and reporting frameworks and track project performance using appropriate tools.
  • Identify track, and escalate project risks and issues, supporting the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate input and deliverables from subject matter experts including People and Wellbeing, Legal and Finance.
  • Organise and coordinate relevant meetings, including preparation of agendas, minutes, briefing materials and follow-up actions.
  • Ensure governance structures are maintained and that decision-making bodies are appropriately informed, including the Steering Committee and Executive sponsors.­

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience managing and coordinating complex projects, preferably within a higher education or large organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor and track the delivery of project milestones with contemporary tools. Manage project risks and issues and ensure compliance in a regulatory environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with experience working with senior leaders. 
  • High-level written skills including experience drafting reports, presentations, and project documentation.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, and proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 8 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $152,033 comprising base salary within the range of $114,282 to $129,943 plus 17% superannuation.
