About the Portfolio
The Academic Division has a critical role in enabling and supporting learning and teaching success. The purpose of the Academic System will be to achieve transformative educational outcomes for students and communities, ensure that all courses are mission-aligned, design and performance optimized. Seven critical elements will serve specific purposes in the System and include Courses, Capacity, Capability, Time, Governance, Management, and Technology and processes. The system will deliver mission aligned educational content, allowing us to accelerate the transition we need to make in Tasmania.
About the Opportunity
The Director of Performance Optimisation is a newly established leadership role responsible for driving a data-informed approach to academic excellence. This role will lead the University’s efforts to proactively identify, diagnose, and address academic and operational performance challenges, ensuring that academic units operate within agreed performance guardrails.
You will establish a sophisticated analytics function, providing real-time insights into performance, course viability, and student success. With proactive performance oversight, you'll predict and address deviations and lead a team to deliver impactful interventions. Developing tools and dashboards for effective management and driving continuous improvement in our course portfolio will foster a culture of excellence and turn data into actionable insights for strategic planning.
