About the opportunity
Reporting directly to the Director Facilities Management, the Compliance and Risk Officer will contribute to the effective management of statutory risk and compliance by providing high level support for compliance and risk management-related reviews, processes, communications, training, advice and policy development. Specifically, the position will monitor and advise on external developments in the regulatory environment, coordinate and monitor the completion of works risk assessments and control measures for maintenance and infrastructure works and coordinate the delivery of training relating to compliance and risk management. The position will also coordinate regular reviews of tasks and process compliance with established FM workflows, policies and procedures, and prepare a variety of reports, proposals and planning documents.
What you’ll do:
Monitor external regulatory frameworks related to maintenance and infrastructure works.
Advise the Director Facilities Management on policy deficiencies and recommend changes.
Manage the section's emergency management plan obligations.
Coordinate and monitor the completion of works risk assessments and control measures.
Oversee the management and reporting of infrastructure hazard notifications.
What we’re looking for:
Experience in, or understanding of, maintenance and infrastructure works practices within a large and diverse organisation.
Experience in, and knowledge of, emergency management systems and processes.
Working knowledge, or understanding, of regulatory instruments applicable to the delivery of maintenance and infrastructure works services, including legislation, codes of practice, building codes and Australian Standards.
Good organisational skills, including the ability to plan and prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with proven ability to produce a range of written reports and proposals for a variety of audiences.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $126,637 comprising base salary within the range of $98,473 to $108,237 plus 17% superannuation.
