About the opportunity
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Education is looking for a Course and Curriculum Manager to join their team on an ongoing basis.
As the Course and Curriculum Manager, you will play a central role in the coordination, oversight and facilitation of the University’s curriculum.
The position reports through to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Education, where you will work closely alongside senior academics within specified Academic College/s including the Associate Dean Learning Teaching & Performance to deliver high quality course and curriculum leadership and management.
You will work under broad direction, ensuring the quality and efficiency of operations and demonstrate a high level of understanding of the strategic goals of the University and the specified College/s and Schools.
You will also help drive distinctiveness in our offerings, whilst managing the performance and sustainability of our course portfolio.
What you’ll do:
Thorough and effective planning and leading of the academic governance and quality assurance processes for the assigned College/s coursework curriculum in accordance with university and regulatory requirements.
Consistently champion the use of the curriculum management systems in the assigned College/s and Schools to ensure timely and accurate data approval and capture, as well as advocate the use of the course and unit builder to support learning design, management and verification.
Provide high-level support and advice to the College Learning & Teaching Committee/s, College Assessors’ Meetings and Academic Progress Review meetings, and other related committees as required.
Quality assurance of data within the university’s curriculum management system, Course and Unit Handbook, and related curriculum and course publications or systems is undertaken.
Develop, implement and report on policies, processes and procedures in accordance with regulatory frameworks.
What we’re looking for:
An understanding of student management systems and high-level skills in the use of contemporary office software applications.
A commitment to cultivating excellence in customer service (student and College) based on a well- developed understanding of the needs of higher education students, and a detailed knowledge and understanding of national and international higher education issues, developments and trends.
High-level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate and present effectively to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to interpret, apply and explain complex rules, ordinances, policies and procedures. Experience in policy development and implementation, and quality assurance, accreditation and risk management processes.
Thorough knowledge of meeting procedures and committee functions, including the preparation of agendas, complex reports and briefing papers.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 9 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $155,332 comprising base salary within the range of $125,959 to $132,762 plus 17% superannuation.
