Lecturer in Maritime Engineering

About the opportunity

The Lecturer in Maritime Engineering at CMEH is responsible for teaching, applied research, consultancy, and administrative tasks. This includes educating undergraduate and Masters students, contributing to academic research, managing laboratory sessions and student projects, and developing modern teaching and assessment programs for the maritime industry.

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute to the University’s strategic goals and operation.
  • Deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
  • Conduct nationally and internationally recognised research, secure funding, publish findings and supervise higher research higher degree students.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining productive links within the University and external stakeholders.

What we’re looking for:

  • A PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • University-level teaching experience.
  • Nationally recognised research with quality publications and funding success.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective local and national professional relationships.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B and will have a total remuneration package of up to $150,759 comprising base salary within the range of $110,992 to $128,854 plus 17% superannuation.
