About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join our Information Technology Services (ITS) team within the Division of Student Services and Operations. You will be responsible for identifying and managing cyber risks, ensuring compliance, and providing support and awareness. Additionally, you will handle cyber threats and vulnerabilities and respond to events and incidents to maintain continuity of operations. The primary goal of this position is to protect the University’s infrastructure and assets from internal and external cyber threats, ensuring the availability of our systems and services.
What’s Required
Experience in reviewing system logs and events and investigation of anomalies
Ability to assess developments in the Information Technology industry specifically as they relate to Information Security
Able to conduct sensitive investigations where breaches of policy, state or federal laws have occurred while adhering to privacy requirements
Demonstrated experience in the analysis of data from threat and vulnerability feeds
Ability to develop and compile data for management reporting and metrics
Knowledge of computer forensic analysis, data recovery, eDiscovery, and other IT investigative work.
Qualifications and Licences
Tertiary qualifications in ICT or cyber security industry certifications or relevant experience in cyber security.
