Your primary responsibility is the creation of captivating, engaging, and brand-aligned content across various social media platforms. Your responsibilities encompass overseeing the entire content lifecycle from conceptualisation to execution.
A unique aspect of the role involves managing a pool of student ambassadors who contribute to content creation by supporting them to share their success through storytelling in the development of engaging content. This involves not only generating your own creative content but also guiding and coordinating with student ambassadors to produce diverse and authentic content that resonates with our target audience.
What you’ll do:
Find, source, and identify student talent through promotion, advertising, and networking.
Manage a roster of content creators by working collaboratively with other teams across the University to recruit students to actively contribute and support their ongoing engagement.
Provide ongoing training, advice, feedback, and mentorship to students to ensure the production of quality content in alignment with brand guidelines.
Edit student content as required and provide other content support to ensure optimal outputs.
Manage distribution of the student creator budget and maintain these records to manage workflow in line with key deliverables.
Attend events on and off campus to provide support to student creators and as a sole creator when required.
Undertake other duties to support the social media team when required, as directed by the Social Media Manager.
What we’re looking for:
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field is often preferred.
Proven experience with social media management, content creation, and understanding of social media analytics to continue to improve performance.
Proficiency in using social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.), and familiarity with social media management tools (such as Brandwatch).
Understanding of how social media fits into the broader digital marketing strategy including content marketing, and email marketing.
Experience in creating a variety of content types such as text, images, video, and infographics.
