About the Opportunity

The College of Health and Medicine are seeking a part-time Lecturer in Dementia (0.4 FTE) to focus on unit coordination of fully online undergraduate and/or postgraduate dementia education programs, within the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre. This role will involve teaching into established units focuses on the Centre research themes of the care, cause, and prevention of dementia. Candidates with backgrounds in social work, education, policy, aged care, nursing, public health, and the current research themes of the Centre are encouraged to apply. This is a fixed term position till the 28th of November 2025. 

What You’ll Do

  • Make an effective and sustained contribution to the University in achieving its strategic objectives and fulfilling its operational responsibilities.
  • Coordinate units and undertake scholarly undergraduate and/or postgraduate coursework teaching of a high quality.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of productive and effective links inside the University and locally and nationally with the discipline, relevant interdisciplinary domains, profession, industry, and/or wider community.

What’s Required

  • A PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • A strong record of, and continuing commitment to, activities which have achieved notable contributions aligned to Wicking Centre programs and themes.
  • Demonstrated experience and achievement in University-level learning and teaching, including unit design, coordination, review and/or evaluation.
  • A record of contributing effectively to building and maintaining effective and productive links locally and nationally with the discipline, profession, industry (where relevant) and wider community.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at an Academic Level B and will comprising of base salary within the range of $110,992 to $128,854 plus 17% superannuation (pro rata).
