About the opportunity
The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research is looking for a professional and adaptive Executive Assistant to join their team.
The Executive Assistant will undertake a range of duties both independently and as part of a larger team to support the work of the Research Division.
You will be responsible for various administrative duties including diary management for the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, event planning, portfolio communication, and divisional support for finance and people processes.
As our new Executive Assistant, you will be a detail-oriented people person who loves building relationships and working towards a common goal. You will naturally demonstrate initiative and be able to identify areas for improvement within the portfolio, using problem-solving skills to address these or judgement to elevate as necessary.

What you’ll do:
Diary management and travel planning for the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research).
Project and event support, coordination, organisation and communication.
Coordinate safety, wellbeing and inclusion, diversity and equity initiatives and activities.
Support the University’s Digital Workspace administration and activities.
Maintaining the Research Division intranet pages ensuring consistent presentation and current content on external facing web pages.
Fostering and enhancing effective communication within the Research Division.
What we’re looking for:
Skilled in use of Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
Experience working in a high-pressure environment.
Minimum Cert IV level qualification with extensive relevant experience in a similar position.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $102,190 comprising base salary within the range of $78,210 to $87,342 plus 17% superannuation.
