About the opportunity
We are seeking to appoint a Project Support Officer in the Capital Works unit of Campus Services, part of the Division of Student Services & Operations. Campus Services is responsible for a range of strategic and operational functions relating to the University's built environment, infrastructure, and campus and commercial services. The Capital Works unit (CW) is specifically responsible for delivering capital works projects. Under the general direction of the Director CW, the Project Support Officer will provide administrative and executive support to the Capital Works team, ensuring administrative, financial, compliance and reporting requirements related to project development and delivery are met.
What you’ll do:
Manage the project management database for all capital projects, ensuring data relating to budget, program, risk, change and WHS is accurately maintained.
Prepare accurate monthly reporting, and other key project documents in accordance with the University’s Project Delivery Framework.
Maintain project budgets, raise and maintain purchase orders and obtain relevant information from the University’s financial management system.
Coordinate key project support processes relating to contract administration and statutory planning, including securities, insurance, contracts and planning/permit condition tracking.
Liaise with and establish good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and service providers.
What we’re looking for:
Experience in the design, construction or related industry in an administration, finance or related role.
A good understanding of project management methodology as it relates to construction and capital works projects.
Excellent organisational skills and a demonstrated capacity to act independently within an established framework, using discretion and sound judgement to manage work priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, meeting minutes, general documentation and correspondence for a range of audiences.
Sound financial processing skills, including the ability to understand and interpret budgets and financial reports.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $99,698 comprising base salary within the range of $76,302 to $85,212 plus 17% superannuation.
