About the opportunity

The Menzies Institute for Medical Research (Menzies) is seeking an Administration Officer to provide high-quality clinic operations support. The Administration Officer will support the activities of Menzies clinics by delivering a broad range of clinic reception and operational support including communications, appointment scheduling, record and referral management and appointment billing.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver responsive, professional, and customer-focused service to staff.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, research participants, clinicians, researchers, staff and other stakeholders.
  • Reception and administrative support, including scheduling, check-in, billing, data entry, records management, and correspondence.
  • Contribute to improvement initiatives enhancing clinic workflows, customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with creating, maintaining and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.

­What we’re looking for:

  • Completion of a Certificate IV/Diploma level qualification, or an equivalent combination of experience or training.
  • Strong administrative skills and experience with a range of software applications, including clinic management software.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 4 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $91,488 comprising base salary within the range of $73,814 to $78,195 plus 17% superannuation.
